Funeral Poster Board Printing: Honoring Loved Ones with Elegance and Grace.

Funeral poster boards, often referred to as memorial boards, are a heartfelt way to celebrate the life and legacy of a departed loved one. These custom-designed posters provide a visual tribute, capturing precious memories, meaningful quotes, and significant moments that defined the individual’s life. Professionally printed funeral poster boards not only serve as a focal point during the memorial service but also offer comfort and a tangible way for attendees to remember the person who has passed away.

In this guide, we’ll delve into the benefits of funeral poster board printing, provide tips for designing a meaningful tribute, and highlight the best printing services in Los Angeles to help you create a lasting and elegant memorial.

Why Choose Funeral Poster Board Printing?

1. Personalized Remembrance

Funeral poster boards allow you to create a customized tribute that reflects the personality and journey of your loved one. From showcasing their hobbies and achievements to highlighting cherished family moments, these boards provide a visual narrative that is uniquely theirs.

2. A Centerpiece for Memorial Services

Serving as a focal point at the service, memorial boards guide attendees in reflecting on the life of the deceased. Whether displayed at the entrance, beside the casket, or in the reception area, they enhance the decor and bring a personal touch to the setting.

3. Comfort and Connection

Seeing a collection of photos and memories can provide comfort and a sense of closeness for grieving family and friends. Funeral poster boards facilitate shared memories and storytelling, fostering connection among attendees.

4. A Lasting Keepsake

After the service, these boards become treasured keepsakes for the family. They can be displayed at home or kept as a memento, preserving the legacy and memories of the loved one for years to come.

5. A Platform for Sharing Stories

Incorporating a variety of images and quotes into the poster board offers a platform for telling the life story of the deceased. This helps in creating a comprehensive and engaging tribute that honors their legacy.

Design Tips for Creating Memorable Funeral Poster Boards

Creating a funeral poster board involves thoughtful selection and arrangement of elements to ensure a meaningful and aesthetically pleasing tribute. Here are some design tips to help you craft a beautiful memorial board:

1. Choose a Meaningful Theme

Select a theme that represents the individual’s life. This could be based on their favorite activities, colors, or a significant period in their life. A coherent theme ties together the various elements of the board and reflects their personality.

2. Gather High-Quality Images

Use high-resolution images to ensure clarity and detail in your prints. Choose a mix of formal portraits, candid shots, and group photos that capture the essence of their life and relationships.

3. Organize by Chronology or Themes

Decide whether to arrange photos in chronological order or by specific themes (e.g., family, career, hobbies). This helps create a structured and easily navigable tribute.

4. Include Personal Touches

Incorporate elements that were significant to the deceased, such as their favorite quotes, poems, or song lyrics. Personal anecdotes and messages from loved ones can add depth and emotional resonance to the board.

5. Select Clear and Readable Fonts

Opt for simple, elegant fonts that are easy to read from a distance. Avoid overly decorative fonts that might be difficult to decipher, ensuring the text is legible and professional.

6. Balance Colors and Layout

Choose a color palette that complements the photos and reflects the individual’s personality. Ensure a balanced layout with enough white space to avoid overcrowding, making the board aesthetically pleasing and easy to follow.

7. Provide Context with Captions

Add captions to photos to provide context and significance. Brief descriptions or dates can help attendees understand and appreciate the moments depicted on the board.

8. Consider the Display Environment

Think about where the poster board will be displayed during the service. Ensure the size and design are appropriate for the venue, and consider how it will be positioned and lit.

Choosing the Right Printing Service in Los Angeles

Selecting a professional printing service is crucial to achieving a high-quality and dignified funeral poster board. Here are key factors to consider when choosing a printer:

File Setup

In order to ensure your files are print-ready, we recommend that you upload them in PDF format. When you generate a print-ready PDF, your computer will use the settings in Adobe Acrobat Distiller or any other PDF generating programs you may use. Please make sure that these are set properly before generating your PDF file.

If you are uploading PDF files created in Photoshop, please be sure all layers are flattened.

We also accept .JPG (JPEG), and .TIF (TIFF) file types, however PDF is the preferred format.

Check your file to make sure it meets our file creation guidelines. This will help speed up the production of your project and give your printed piece the best results.

  1. Use the CMYK colorspace (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, blacK). These are industry standard printing colors. CMYK colors are different than RGB (Red, Green, Blue), which are used to display colors on your screen.
  2. Use a minimum resolution of 300 dpi for image files.
  3. Specify trim area with crop marks. (Don’t place crop marks inside the work area.)
  4. Artwork should have 1/8″ (0.125″) bleed extending past the trim line. This is to prevent minor cutting variations from leaving unintended results at the trim edge.
  5. Safe Area is the 1/8″ (0.125″) area inside the trim line. Do not put critical information or images within the Safe Area. This is to prevent minor cutting variations from leaving unintended results at the trim edge.
  6. If you want printed borders, they must be placed a minimum of 1/8″ (0.125″) inside the trim line and include bleed. This is to prevent minor cutting variations from leaving unintended results at the trim edge.
